This page tells you about Nomi's rules and privacy in plain words. The full Terms and Privacy Policy are the ones that count. Someone you trust can read it with you.
What Nomi is
Nomi helps you keep notes about meals and drinks.
You can also note what made eating harder or easier.
Nomi is not a doctor. It does not tell you how much to eat or drink.
In an emergency
Call 911.
Nomi does not watch your notes. Your care team does not watch them either.
If you feel in crisis, call or text 988. It is open day and night.
Your notes
Your notes are saved on your phone.
When you are signed in, a copy is kept safe on our computers. That way you do not lose them.
Your photos
Meal photos stay on your phone.
Photo naming is off until you say yes. If you turn it on, a copy of the photo goes to a company we work with, called OpenAI. It sends back the name of the food. We do not keep the photo.
Who can see your notes
You can.
People you choose to help you can add notes on your phone. You pick what they can do. You can stop it any time. Nomi shows who added each note.
Your care team can see your notes only after you connect and say yes. You can stop that any time.
What we never do
We never sell your notes.
We show no ads.
We never use your notes to teach AI.
Scanning a barcode
If you scan a barcode on a package, only the barcode number is sent. It is used to look up the label.
Money
Nomi is free.
There is an extra called Pro that you can buy. It adds things like more looks for your companion. You do not need it.
To cancel Pro, use your phone's settings.
Your age
Nomi is for people 13 and older.
Stopping
You can delete your account any time.
It closes right away. Your notes on our computers are erased within 30 days.
